Charles Turley

After I graduated, by the way I had to go to summer school to get my diploma; I enlisted in the U. S. Marine Corp and served two tours of duty in Viet Nam. I then attended Penn State University but never did graduate. I was not one for books! I then went to work in the CATV industry and have been there ever since. I have worked in this industry for 37 years with 32 of those years with my current company Time Warner Cable. It has been a good career. I was married in 1970 and have 4 children. I moved to Waukesha, Wisconsin in 1982. Nice place but very cold in January.

I remember going to the Sweetheart Dance. My dad had just purchased a Volkswagen Beatle. Needless to say at that time it was a nerd mobile! Anyhow, the bigger problem with it was the fact that I could not figure out how to turn the heat on. My poor date froze! (I will not mention her name but if she ever reads this I am sure she will know who I am talking about) But what is worst was the fact that after I dropped my date off, I figured out how to work the heat and I was warm all the way home!!!
